Mascara

Mascara is quite often said to be a desert island product. With many clients professing to 'not leave the house without a bit of mascara'. I personally always feel a look isn't complete without mascara and especially when working with fair lashes it can even make a look appear strange or odd until the mascara is applied. If you have fair lashes yourself, always bare this is mind. Go with the eye shadow you had planned and trust your instincts with your eye shadow application until you have finished off with mascara.

Black mascara is the most effective in terms of achieving the most stand out look but if you want something more subtle then browns are readily available too.

When looking for a new mascara consider what you want from it. Volume - I.e you want you lashes to look fuller and thicker or length - I.e you want them to look longer and more defined but not necessarily thicker. Some will profess to do both. People can be quite particular so read reviews and the blurb about the product to be sure it matches what you're looking for.

Waterproof mascara does exactly what it says on the tin. It can't be removed with water and if you cry / get caught in a rain shower it won't be streaming down your face. They're great for weddings etc but not the best for your lashes as you need something stronger to remove it. So don't wear waterproof daily. Some mascaras will say they're water resistant, this is not the same thing as waterproof. They might not smudge immediately with water contact but can be removed with water and will dissolve with excess moisture.

My 3 favourite mascaras are...

Doucce Mascara

Arbonne it's a long story mascara

Maybelline Collosal Volume mascara
